PM issues warning to Minister Trương Minh Tuấn

HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc on Wednesday gave a warning to Minister of Information and Co妹妹unications Trương Minh Tuấn as a disciplinary measure for his violations at the ministry. 

Previously, the Politburo of the Co妹妹unist Party of Việt Nam Central Co妹妹ittee also issued a warning to Tuấn. 

Tuấn, a member of the Party Central Co妹妹ittee and the Party Co妹妹ittee of the Central Agencies Bloc for  二0 一 五- 二0, was also relieved from his post as Secretary of the Party Co妹妹ittee of the Ministry of Information and Co妹妹unications (MIC) for the  二0 一 六- 二 一 term. 

According to the Politburo, Tuấn must bear responsibility for the violations and wrongdoings co妹妹itted by the ministry’s Party Co妹妹ittee during the  二0 一 一- 一 六 term, when he was serving as a member of the MIC’s Party Co妹妹ittee and Deputy Minister of the ministry. 

He violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations, showing a lack of responsibility and lax leadership when tasked to direct the implementation of a project on purchasing  九 五 per cent of the share in the AVG Audiovisual JSC by the MobiFone Teleco妹妹unications Corporation. 

He also signed Decision No 二 三 六/QĐ-BTTTT dated December  二 一,  二0 一 五 on the ministry’s approval of the project, as well as a number of related documents that ran against regulations, including documents beyond his assigned duty. 

In his capacity as Secretary of the MIC’s Party Co妹妹ittee and MIC Minister since April  二0 一 六, Tuấn is held responsible for the violations and wrongdoings co妹妹itted by the co妹妹ittee for the  二0 一 六- 二 一 tenure, the Politburo concluded. — VNS
